Sadly, like many larger towns, Ipswich has a number of people who are homeless for a variety of reasons. The town seeks to support these people in many ways.
The Ipswich Winter Night Shelter operates each night between December to March, when it provides hope and hospitality including a hot meal, basic accommodation and breakfast for homeless guests. It is housed in town centre churches and St Margaret's has been a host church since 2013. Members of St Margaret's church work alongside volunteers from other churches (and elsewhere) to run the shelter at St Margaret's (and other venues).
