In 2011, a spate of vandalism, thefts and anti-social behaviour unfortunately led to the decision to keep the church closed, except for services or events. A major objective of the project was to enable the church to be reopened and for everyone to be able to visit in safety throughout the week by the installation of a CCTV system with live monitoring.
